Nick Morrison knows adversity well. As a Professional Bull Rider he endured dozens of concussions, a broken neck, a broken back, and numerous other injuries. At only 21 years old he found his dream shattered by a career-ending injury to his shoulder.
However, Nick did not let this injury define him as he went on to lead a successful Youth Ministry at Lone Star Cowboy Church, growing it from around 15 attendees to hundreds attending live weekly with hundreds more tuning in at the dozens of satellite locations throughout the Midwest.
Due to a serious brain injury from over four-dozen concussions Nick was unable to continue his role at LSCC. He eventually pursued Stand Up Comedy. That career was upended when he had a catatonic-like syndrome reaction to an Adult HIE, as a result of his concussion issues, that left him fully mute and robbed him of the ability to speak.
Undeterred Nick fought back, teaching himself to speak again one word at a time. Today, he has returned to the stage as a successful Stand-Up Comedian.
